The Gazeebo: Finales are Like New Beginnings

Long time, no post…

So I’ve been kind of busy lately which is why I didn’t post since around June 15th lol.  But, I guess it’s not a bad thing because I learned a few things over the past few days so it’s a good thing 🙂

Well, on another subject, last Thursday was the finale show of “Pirates of Penzance.”  The entire thing was amazing and I’d say that they really did their best on that final night, as it should go 🙂  But, a final congrats to my sister who was Mabel, the lead female character in the show!! 🙂

Anyway, that’s all.  Now on to the poem… again it’s not one of mine; it is one of my most favorite poems that I remember from my childhood.  It’s by Langston Hughes and I found the copy here.

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
